Jessore

The Place: Jessore is a part of the Aravalli range. It is about 190 km from Ahmedabad. Located on the Rajasthan-Gujarat boundary, Jessore is a hilly and rugged terrain, which has within its confines a large number of endangered species. It houses mammalian species like sloth bear, leopard, sambar, nilgai (blue bull), wild pigs, porcupine, wolf, civet, desert cat, desert fox, jungle cat, honey badger, hare, langur, mongoose, pangolin, hyena and reptiles like pythons, cobra, krait, vipers and monitors and a variety of bird species. Jessore is also the second highest point of Gujarat.

Activities: The camp involves activities like trekking/climbing, bird watching, tree identification and art & craft. An attempt is to go to the top of the mountain.

Things To Carry: Light bedding, night dress, water bottle, woollens, good torch, sports shoes, full sleeved shirt, full pant/track pant, plate, bowl, glass, spoon, shorts/tights for bathing, towel, ball pen, diary/notebook and a sun cap. Do not carry expensive items.
